4 | Chemoproteomic technologies for the investigation of endothelial-macrophage interactions

To characterise the endothelial niche, in which macrophages develop, we will employ chemoproteomic technologies. The Cell Surface Capture technology permits quantitative analysis of proteins on the cell surface, the so-called surfaceome. We will apply this approach to compare the basolateral and apical surfaceome of brain endothelial cells in vitro. Building on these results, we will investigate how myeloid cells perturb the polarity of the surfaceome when added to the in vitro BBB models.
